About Us

Sitting high up on a plateau in the South West Averyon region in France is nestled a gem of a house available for exclusive rental. The house is owned by Avril and Dominick Cosgrove and forms part of their larger, exciting renovation project of a 13 bedroom Hotel Montrozier.

More homely than a B&B, less formal then a hotel – Avril and Dominick are opening their house for the first time this summer. The Gite for hire sleeps up to 8-10 people and includes access to their swimming pool, beautiful garden, shared courtyard plus a private courtyard of your own.

The Aveyron is little known to British holiday makers but popular with the French. Famous for it’s breathtaking gorges, crystal clear lakes, chateaus and Roquefort cheese. There is plenty to explore in the nearby area including the stunning Millau Viaduct designed by Norman Foster.

The house sits next door to a 13 bedroom house that Avril and Dominick are lovingly restoring. Both will be happy to show you around and talk you through the history and detail of the restoration project if Grand Designs is your thing.

Fridges can be stocked in anticipation of your arrival with all of your favourite goodies including wines, cheeses and other homemade goodies. Avril is an exceptional cook and it can be arranged for the freezer to be stocked with her delicious delights. Or if you want a more private affair just ask your hosts for their highlights of the surrounding area and they will set you off in the direction of wonderful food markets, cafes, fishing hotspots, launch pads for paragliding, pottering or pastis drinking.

This house has all you want for a relaxing break. The Cosgrove’s amazing vision and willingness to tackle the largest of renovation projects always result in beautiful interiors and stunning gardens.

"I have had the best holidays of my life in this place. A secret, perfect corner of France, fluent French unnecessary but don't expect the locals to know any English- sign language will do you just fine! I have stayed here in all weathers and there is always something to do for all, whether petanque against Jacques or a... trip to some of the hidden gems nearby. The house and hosts are wonderful- the only danger is that you definitely will want to come back again and again after one trip!"
